Frequently asked question

Q:What kind of longline it is better to use with PALAMITOFACILE?

A: With PALAMITOFACILE it is possible to use the classical recreational longline to fish sea bass, gift-breams, sargo (diplodus sargus)  and so on, made of the main line (0,70mm of diameter), arms 1,5 m long (0.30/0,35 mm of diameter), spaced of about 5/6 m (Mustad type hook series 2315 number 15/14).

 Q:How many hooks?

A:The ideal quantity is of 100 hooks.

Q:Is it possible to use a different quantity of hooks?

A:Yes. It is suggested a quantity of 100 hooks but also of 50 or 200 hooks is favourable. With 50 hooks there is one hook in each section, using only one cleft of two; with 200 hooks there are two hooks in each cleft and four hooks in each section.

Q:What use is the friction?

A:It is necessary to check the rotation speed of PALAMITOFACILE and the consequent coming out of the longline, that could be even too fast.

Q:What use is the system of  anti-return?

A:It is useful to prevent the contrary rotation of the  longline when it is getting sail, that could unroll by itself unintentionally.

Q:What use is the PALAMITOFACILE if the longline it is not baited before?

A:It is remarkable the increase of the operative speed also during the descent, thanks to the fact that there is no tangling on the main line and to the rapid individuation and release of the hook chosen to be let down.

 Q:There will be other models?

A:Yes. Other two models are developing, one for the sports-fishing able to handle a heavy boulter with at most 200 hooks and a professional one for 600 hooks.
